This is an unusual story about two most unlikely people crossing paths and finding love. Philomena McGrattan is the owner of an infamous house of ill-repute. When Phil is asked to travel to Wales to deliver a sexual birthday gift, she finds herself intrigued by the idea. Phil has not entertained men personally for three years and wants to get away for a day or two.
Her assignment is to have sex with Lord Spence Hornsby also known as the Professor. The Professor will be thirty years old and has never engaged in sex.
Hornsby lives in a very isolated area and is very annoyed when his unexpected guest arrives. The heavy snowfall makes it impossible for Philomena to leave his estate for a week.
During this times of isolation, these two confide in each other and begin somewhat of a friendship along with a physical attraction for one another. The sexual scenes are quite explicit but based on this story I thought were seemly true to the situation.
Hats off to Ms Gerrard for a great first book in her new series.

This was a good story. Tells how when you meet the right person you can over come the difficult things you have hung onto since childhhod. Very tender. The sex was not raunchy.

ewitched from beginning to end. The sex scenes were well written but yet left the reader room to insert their own fantasies. I look forward to reading more books by Ms Gerrard!

Never judge a book by its cover (or title). I absolutely loved this book and the main characters. The story shows how people are shaped by what they experienced in their youth and that what we see on the outside may hide tender feelings, emotions, just waiting for the right key to open the lock to what lies deep inside. Well written, really nice read. Get it!
I really liked this book. The plot was different then what I have read before. The characters had so emotion and the prescribed in the pages felt real. This is the first time I have read this author,but I will differently read her again
A jaded woman with a past, madam of her own brothel, takes on the assignment of introducing a thirty year old virgin to the joys of sex. Both find much more than either bargained for. Philomena has hardened herself against emotions. Spence has withdrawn from society because he cannot confront the misunderstanding even his closest family and friends have of him. Their struggles to set aside their separate pains and lower their barriers is entrancing. So well written I overlooked a few typos, which in a lesser tale would have cost the author a star.
Bold Seduction is my first book by Karyn Gerrard and I already look forward to the next. Ms Gerrard has delivered a well-written book. Her characters are phenomenal and a perfect fit for this awesome story. Spence and Phil's (Philomena) tale is loaded with laugh out loud humor, drama and sizzle. I totally enjoyed reading Bold Seduction and look forward to reading more from Karyn Gerrard in the future. Bold Seduction is book 1 of The Hornsby Brothers Series but can be read as a standalone. This is a complete book, not a cliff-hanger.
